Known flying-fox heat stress forecaster issues

  1. The forecaster sometimes gets stuck in the past. This is caused by our server crashing or by an interruption of the BoM/NCI feed. If it is the latter there is currently little we can do other than wait for BoM/NCI to restore the feed.
  2. Sign ups for email alerts are currently processed manually. This means there may be some delay before subscribers start receiving email alerts.
  3. Email alerts are also still sent out manually, which means that when we are away from email (e.g. on leave) alerts may not be sent.
